From the article
Terrance Ferguson is the type of prospect I like to take a chance on at the tight end position. The bullish case for Ferguson is that he plays in an offense projected to be among the best in the NFL.
STACKED’s take
Ferguson's elite athleticism and McVay's TE-friendly scheme offer upside at TE22.
Ferguson is going at ADP 168 (TE22) and is the type of tight end prospect worth taking a chance on. At 6-foot-6, 247 pounds, Ferguson posted a 4.63 40-yard dash and 39-inch vertical at the combine. As a rookie, he saw just 25 targets and finished with 11 receptions but made the most of those chances by averaging 21 yards per catch and 9.2 yards per target. The bullish case is that he plays in an offense projected to be among the best in the NFL under Sean McVay, who uses 13 personnel on 30.5% of snaps and targeted tight ends 150 times last season. With Davante Adams potentially hitting a cliff, that target number could rise. While Ferguson has competition at the position, he offers the most upside of any Rams tight end and is a virtually free way to invest in a good offense.
