Geno Smith expressed confidence in Taylor's long-term trajectory, saying 'he's a guy who I think is going to be a great player in this league for a long time.' Smith highlighted Taylor's reliability as a safety net, great hands, excellent route running, physical blocking ability, and noted that as a second-year player, Taylor will continue to improve. The two spent 60-90 minutes working out together three to four days a week in the offseason in South Florida to build chemistry and get on the same page regarding Smith's preferences from his tight ends.
