Shough's QB12 finish post-takeover and easy schedule position him as a breakout.

Shough, a second-round 2025 draft pick, took over as the Saints' undisputed starter in Week 9 after Spencer Rattler started the first eight games, guiding New Orleans to a 5-4 record down the stretch. From Week 9 through the regular season, Shough was QB12 in fantasy points per game and produced at least 17.1 fantasy points in each of his last six starts. The 26-year-old completed 67.6% of his throws, averaged 7.3 yards per pass attempt, 10 TD passes and six interceptions, and averaged 16.9 rushing yards per game with three TD runs. Pat Fitzmaurice notes only one of the nine teams Shough faced (the Rams) ranked inside the top 10 in DVOA against the pass, and the Saints drafted WR Jordyn Tyson No. 8 overall to support him, though Tyson will miss significant early-season time with a hamstring injury.
