Willis waived; no path to snaps behind Juszczyk and Kittle.

49ers waived tight end Brayden Willis to make roster room for long snapper Jon Weeks. Willis, who had been on and off the roster for multiple seasons, was deemed unlikely to contribute on a down-to-down basis despite a couple of impressive blocks in preseason. With Kyle Juszczyk practicing and George Kittle returning, Willis had no path to playing time. He registered zero solo tackles on 32 special teams snaps during preseason.
