Positive signalSleeper

Shough's QB12 finish and easy schedule make him a sleeper QB1 candidate.

Shough was a pleasant surprise as a second-round pick rookie for New Orleans and enters 2026 as the Saints' undisputed starter. After Spencer Rattler started the first eight games in 2025, Shough took over in Week 9 and guided the team to a 5-4 record, finishing QB12 in fantasy points per game from Week 9 through season's end with at least 17.1 fantasy points in each of his last six starts. The 26-year-old completed 67.6% of throws, averaged 7.3 yards per attempt, had 10 TD passes and six interceptions, and averaged 16.9 rushing yards per game with three TD runs. Pat Fitzmaurice notes only one team Shough faced (Rams) ranked top 10 in DVOA against the pass, and the Saints should have an easy schedule again in 2026.
