STACKED’s take
Nix could be QB1 against Chiefs despite regression; new playcaller Davis Webb may boost pace.
Nix regressed as a passer last year but still finished QB11 in fantasy points per game. His passing TD rate fell from 5.1% to 4.1%, and rushing yards per game dipped from 25.3 to 20.9 (16th). He directed a passing offense fifth in neutral passing rate and tenth in neutral pace. Among 38 qualifying passers, he was 31st in yards per attempt, 18th in highly accurate throw rate, 19th in hero throw rate, and 22nd in fantasy points per dropback. In two regular season meetings with Kansas City last year, Nix was QB19 and QB10. Kansas City allowed the 13th-highest passer rating, ranked 19th in passing success rate and 18th in EPA per dropback allowed. The source projects Nix could easily be a QB1 this week.
