From the article

Over the last four games of 2025 (playoffs included), he went bonkers: 48 targets, 28 catches, 378 yards, two touchdowns. Let's just appreciate how absurd that final Loveland run was. If you projected those stats for a full 17-game season, we're looking at 204 targets, 119 catches, 1,606 yards and 8.5 touchdowns.

Loveland projects as TE1 with 204-target pace extrapolated from elite late-season run.

Scott Pianowski projects Loveland as the TE1 for 2026. Over the final four games of 2025 (playoffs included), Loveland posted 48 targets, 28 catches, 378 yards, and two touchdowns. Extrapolated to a full 17-game season, that pace yields 204 targets, 119 catches, 1,606 yards, and 8.5 touchdowns. While that ceiling may be unrealistic, Loveland has a legitimate chance to outscore all tight ends in 2026. Ben Johnson's offensive design and the Bears' need to outscore a weak defense position Loveland as a target hog. He's been the most fun pick in the fourth round all summer.
