Smith enters 2026 as the Eagles' new WR1 after spending his career as the '1B' to Brown's '1A'. Currently ranked 12th in target share at 24.4%, Smith's internal support suggests he's ready for increased volume closer to the 30% mark that Jaxon Smith-Njigba surpassed (35.8%) and Puka Nacua approached (28.5%) in similar play-action schemes. Wide receiver coach Aaron Moorehead stated, 'I think he's always seen himself as a [No.] 1. And I think in this building we've always seen him as a one... he feels like it's just his time.'
