Vikings QB signed as former No. 1 overall pick to address offense that averaged just 275 yards per game last season. Former Vikings player Sirles emphasizes Murray must focus on fundamentals in Week 1: taking care of the football, making good decisions, getting the ball out on time, avoiding bad sacks, commanding the line of scrimmage, and playing on time and in rhythm. Sirles does not expect explosive plays early: 'I don't need the crazy Sam Darnold 80 yards on a rope that we saw. I don't need the hundred-yard scramble to make it look really cool; I just want to see you operationally in and out of the huddle, command the line of scrimmage, play on time and in rhythm in the passing game, and mostly just take care of the football for Week 1.'
