Dameon Pierce missed two weeks of training camp with a hamstring injury and didn't get into a game until the last preseason game of the summer. It was really his best chance to impress Howie Roseman and the coaches, and he came up huge, rushing for 44 yards with a crowd-pleasing 16-yarder where he dragged about four Bengals defenders down the field.

Pierce missed two weeks of training camp with a hamstring injury and didn't get into a game until the last preseason game; in his limited opportunity he rushed for 44 yards on four carries with a crowd-pleasing 16-yard run where he dragged about four Bengals defenders down the field, which was enough to earn him a spot on the Eagles' practice squad where as a four-year veteran he'll earn between $18,350 and $22,850 per week. Pierce was third among rookies with 939 rushing yards for the Texans in 2022 but watched his playing time diminish each year since; he is happy to be back in Philly even if it's just on the practice squad.
