Kyle Pitts getting totally shut out was malpractice. Aside from a missed block early in this one, he just wasn't given a shot to be a factor, which is less on him than it is the coaching staff and Rush for not being able to get a legitimate playmaker the ball.

Pitts shut out in Week 1; analyst calls it malpractice by coaching staff.

Pitts was completely shut out in Week 1, getting no targets. Nick Folk calls this 'malpractice,' noting that aside from a missed block early in the game, he wasn't given a shot to be a factor. Nick Folk attributes this more to the coaching staff and Rush's inability to get a legitimate playmaker the ball rather than Pitts himself, and expects this to change in Week 2 and beyond.
