Prescott made critical sequential errors in the first half that cost Dallas control of the game: he threw a perfect deep ball to George Pickens that was dropped, then on the ensuing third down, he made a huge error by launching a desperation heave to avoid a sack that resulted in an interception instead of an incompletion. The interception gave the Giants the ball at the 45-yard line with 58 seconds left in the half, leading to a touchdown in 29 seconds and a 14-7 halftime deficit the Cowboys never recovered from.
