Williams' drops and fumble on critical downs offset some positive plays in a disappointing step back.

Disappointing Week 1 performance marked by critical drops and a fumble on an end-around play. Two of his drops were on outside routes where Goff placed the ball too high and outside on drive-killing third-down plays. Williams also had a contested drop that set up third-and-15, and his fumble essentially ended a drive. However, he did convert a third-and-8 in the red zone to set up Detroit's first touchdown and had a 22-yard gain in overtime that set up the game-winning score. Combined with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Williams and the receiver group managed just 29 yards after the catch.
