For three quarters, Drake Maye played the game he needed to play for the Patriots to win. He took what the defense gave him, showed good accuracy in the short and intermediate parts of the field, and most importantly did not make any back-breaking mistakes. Then came the fourth quarter and a dramatic flipping of the switch.

Maye's fourth-quarter collapse with three INTs overshadowed solid early performance.

Drake Maye played well for three quarters, showing good accuracy in short and intermediate parts of the field and avoiding back-breaking mistakes, but collapsed in the fourth quarter with a dramatic switch in approach. He launched a deep ball toward double-covered Romeo Doubs that resulted in the first of three interceptions, marking a turning point. While he made some positive plays, he ultimately crumbled attempting 'hero ball' and was pressured on 38.1% of his dropbacks despite taking just three sacks.
