Smith had a rare sack-free afternoon in Week 1 against the Titans, with his blocking worlds better than he experienced in Las Vegas. He responded by playing pitch-and-catch with his talented wideouts, albeit on only 24 attempts as the Jets played ball-control offense on the ground. There is still a hard ceiling to this offense, but it's comforting to think the floor might no longer be through the basement.
