Vele had 7 receptions for 69 yards and 1 touchdown on 9 targets in the Saints' 31-30 overtime loss to Detroit. He played 82 of 90 offensive snaps and was on the field with wide receiver Chris Olave in 2-WR sets. While the Saints won't run 90 offensive plays or have 56 pass attempts every week, Vele's usage was encouraging and he is clearly going to get a lot of playing time until the Saints get first-round rookie Jordyn Tyson back from a hamstring injury.
