STACKED’s take
Shough's QB12 pace and aggressive downfield style offer value despite tough Week 2.
Shough finished Week 1 with 410 yards and three touchdowns on 56 pass attempts despite slow start, throwing two interceptions and taking five sacks while benefiting from negative game script after Saints fell into 21-0 hole. He was QB12 in fantasy points per game from Week 9 through end of regular season last year, producing at least 17.1 fantasy points in each of his last six starts. He completed 67.6% of throws, averaged 7.3 yards per attempt, had 10 touchdown passes and six interceptions, and added 16.9 rushing yards per game with three rushing touchdowns. However, only one team he faced last season (Rams) ranked inside top 10 in DVOA against the pass. He's an aggressive downfield thrower who adds rushing value in Kellen Moore's fast-paced offense. Faces challenging Week 2 matchup against Ravens but gets friendlier home matchups against Raiders and Falcons.
