While his performance was driven by a bizarre, nitro-fueled game script with 90 offensive plays and 56 pass attempts, his usage was encouraging. He played 82 of those 90 offensive snaps and was on the field with wide receiver Chris Olave in 2-WR sets. Vele is clearly going to get a lot of playing time until the Saints get first-round rookie Jordyn Tyson back from a hamstring injury. He's worth attention if looking to plug a hole at receiver.
