After throwing eight interceptions all of last season, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye threw a league-high three in a season-opening loss against the Seattle Seahawks. No, I'm not saying Maye will continue his pace for 51 interceptions this year (though that would make for a fascinating story). But I do think the Patriots will hit more bumps on their post-Super Bowl loss road.

Maye's three-pick opener signals regression risk as opponents exploit film and schedule toughens.

Threw a league-high three interceptions in the Patriots' season-opening loss to Seattle after throwing only eight all of last season; the source warns that despite the pace not continuing at 51 interceptions annually, Maye will face a stiffer schedule, film study from opponents, and the risk of playing Superman against teams eager to exploit his turnover-prone tendencies, leading to more losses soon.
