Maye started the Patriots' season opener executing the take-what-the-opponent-gives-you game plan effectively, helping New England head into the fourth quarter up 10-3. Left guard Alijah Vera-Tucker praised Maye's confidence and ability to fix things independently: 'He's a guy who has a lot of confidence... he's the type of guy who doesn't really need that. He's able to fix things on his own and come ready to work the next week.' Tight end Hunter Henry added: 'He's been great... he sometimes takes too much of the burden... we all have to be better.
