Jared Goff dropped to throw. Chase Young beat Penei Sewell, hit Goff as he wound up, and the ball came out backward, rolling toward the Lions' 12. Jonas Sanker scooped it and scored. On the field it was a backward pass / live ball and a Saints touchdown that would have tied the game pending the PAT. Replay took the points off. The ruling became an incomplete forward pass.
