Daniels went 18-of-34, 164 yards, 2 TDs in Week 1 return; uneven but showed fourth-quarter upside.

Returned to regular-season action in Week 1 after injury-plagued 2025 season, finishing 18-of-34 for 164 yards and two touchdowns, adding 31 yards on five rushing attempts. Numbers weren't spectacular, but fourth quarter offered glimpse of potential with touchdown passes to Diggs and rookie Antonio Williams as Commanders scored 13 fourth-quarter points and turned 24-9 deficit into two-point game. Problem was inconsistency: Washington had just 50 yards on seven non-scoring drives, struggling to sustain drives for long stretches. Operating in third offensive system in three seasons under new offensive coordinator David Blough.
