This is not a clean matchup at all. Last year, the Chiefs were 25th in fantasy points allowed to RBs and 25th in rushing yards. With Kenneth Walker potentially bleeding out the clock on the other side, there's probably fewer chances here on the margins.

Negative signalMatchup

Taylor's elite usage is undermined by Chiefs' improved run defense and Walker's clock-bleeding role.

Taylor is projected for 109.5 total yards in Week 2 at Kansas City. In 14 games with Daniel Jones, Taylor is the RB1 on RB2 overall usage in half-PPR. Despite a difficult draw with the Ravens in Week 1 in negative game script, Taylor was a top-eight back in fantasy points and usage and looked excellent on tape. Daniel Jones was healthy enough to execute the offense but not healthy enough to threaten Taylor as a scrambler or zone read player, which is a good sweet spot for Taylor. However, the Chiefs looked faster up front with part-time rookies showing juice and confused Bo Nix in Week 1 in the secondary. This is not a clean matchup. Last year, the Chiefs were 25th in fantasy points allowed to RBs and 25th in rushing yards. With Kenneth Walker potentially bleeding out the clock on the other side, there are probably fewer chances on the margins. The Colts are projected for 20.0 points (24th) in Arrowhead as 6.5-point dogs.
