Pierce's first game on his new four-year contract was a letdown; coming back from ankle surgery in the offseason and a heel injury leading into Week 1, he was the Colts' leading receiver by yards but only caught four passes for 61 yards, finishing WR34 in half-PPR and PPR formats and WR35 in standard scoring. That was against the Ravens, a team that struggled to stop opposing passers last year. In Week 2, Pierce and the Colts face a Chiefs team with a dominant defense that allowed the fewest passing yards in Week 1; defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will prioritize shutting down Pierce, making this a really bad matchup for the already banged-up wideout.
