I was hoping Marvin Harrison Jr. would be used differently in new Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur's offense than he was in former Cardinals OC Drew Petzing's offense. Yahoo's Matt Harmon refers to X receivers who run a lot of go routes and don't draw a lot of targets as 'sacrificial X receivers.' Petzing used Harrison largely as a sacrificial X receiver. Harrison's average depth of target was 13.4 yards in 2024 and 12.9 yards in 2025. Against the Chargers in Week 1, Harrison had one catch for 33 yards on only three targets. His target share was just 8.1%, and his average depth of target in that game was 23.7 yards. With Harrison facing a tough matchup against the Seahawks on Sunday, leave him on your bench.
