Jonathan Taylor put up just under 100 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1 despite the Colts' offensive struggles. He was third in the NFL in 2025 with 1,585 rushing yards and led the league with 18 touchdowns on the ground. The Chiefs ranked ninth in rushing yards allowed (1,797) and tied for sixth in yards per carry allowed (4.0). However, last season against the Colts, Kansas City bottled up Taylor with only 58 yards on 17 carries, keeping him under four yards per carry. Chiefs LB Nick Bolton acknowledged the challenge: "He's been one of the best backs in the league since I got here—it's definitely a challenge, it's going to take all eleven of us."
