Despite his talent and draft capital, Love is a fade candidate in Week 2 due to limited early usage and a brutal matchup. In Week 1, coming off a preseason ankle sprain, Love logged fewer snaps, carries, and rushing yards than Tyler Allgeier, who remains the listed starter on the depth chart. Love posted just 2.8 expected yards per carry (fewest among RBs with at least five carries in Week 1) and averaged -0.7 yards before contact per carry (ahead of only Pittsburgh and Atlanta backs). While he forced six missed tackles and gained 4.5 yards after contact per carry, the Cardinals offense limits his upside. The Seahawks present the toughest RB matchup in the league, allowing the lowest explosive run rate and EPA/carry to running backs since last season and ranking second in success rate, yards before contact per carry, and missed tackle rate on rushes. Love is a borderline starter based on usage and talent but faces a real chance of a full dud.
