Comment notes Jordan James should be backup to Christian McCaffrey in 49ers backfield; camp battle with Kaelon Black ongoing. Coach speak indicated Jordan, similar to Jordan Mason hype years ago. However, Kyle Shanahan has poor track record playing rookies (Trey Sermon example cited: praised 7/26/2022, released 8/31/2022). Community skeptical of Shanahan's rookie RB usage despite official depth-chart positioning.
