Ertz returns to Eagles practice squad as injury-depleted TE room needs depth.

Zach Ertz is returning to the Philadelphia Eagles on the practice squad following Dallas Goedert's MCL sprain. With rookie TE Eli Stowers on IR and Grant Calcaterra on IR, the Eagles' tight end room is depleted, leaving only Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins. Ertz's signing provides an immediate boost to the position and positions him as an instant contributor once acclimated. The source notes this reunion makes sense given the lack of depth, and Ertz has been a consistent redzone factor throughout his time with the Cardinals and Commanders.
