Samuel is averaging 2.19 yards per route run, leading all 49ers wide receivers in target share and running the second-most routes on the team. San Francisco's pass-catchers are injury-plagued; Demarcus Robinson injured his ankle and will likely miss Week 3, and Mike Evans has a hip injury. Samuel runs a large portion of his routes in the shallow part of the field where his yards-after-catch ability remains superb. Facing Arizona, which allows the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers, Samuel could see even more volume and should be fired up as a FLEX with WR2 upside.
