DeVonta Smith has successfully transitioned to the Eagles' No. 1 wide receiver role following A.J. Brown's departure. The Eagles did not need to replace Brown; Smith could handle that No. 1 role. Combined with Dontayvion Wicks (20 catches, 317 yards through two games), Smith and Wicks have produced more yards in their first two games together than A.J. Brown and Smith did in any of their first two games together, forming a formidable combination.
