He's a good player we feel like we can develop. He'll be on our practice squad and he'll get reps against our defense -- any time we can sit and look at guys we feel we can develop and help this team -- it's a good move to get a player like that to be a part of what we're trying to build.

Jets add Levis to practice squad as QB insurance behind Geno Smith.

Jets signed Will Levis to the practice squad as an insurance policy behind starter Geno Smith. Aaron Glenn stated Levis is "a good player we feel like we can develop" who will get reps against the Jets' defense in practice. Levis, a former second-round pick, has been a massive disappointment in his career with the Titans due to injury (torn AC joint last year) and lack of production, but the Jets believe he has untapped potential and could work his way onto the roster with strong practice showings.
