Michael Mayer's role in the Raiders' red-zone formation evolved between Week 1 and Week 2. In Week 1 against Miami, Mayer went in motion and then pulled to lead-block for Ashton Jeanty on a third-and-three run play. In Week 2 against the Chargers, the Raiders lined up in the same formation, but this time Mayer went out to the flat while Cody White ran a corner route, showing the flexibility of the formation and Mayer's adaptability within it.
