On one hand, the absence of Alec Pierce due to a heel injury enhances the target outlook for Josh Downs. On the other hand, the Texans are a tough matchup. One positive for Downs is that he's been in the slot on 78.9% of his snaps. I was worried that with Keenan Allen around, the Colts might have Downs line up outside more often. Downs is a little guy, and if cornerbacks can get their hands on him off the snap, it throws him off. Fortunately, Downs is still working mostly from the slot. I'm ranking Downs as a midrange WR3.
