NFL.com News on Drew Lock

Lock's 2-0 start (72.9% comp, 4 TDs, 0 INTs) won't keep him in over healthy Darnold.

Lock has performed well in Darnold's absence, guiding Seattle to a 2-0 start including a come-from-behind opening-night win over the Patriots. Lock has completed 35 of 48 passes (72.9 percent) for 422 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. Darnold praised Lock's performance, saying "He's a baller. Went out there and played really well," and noted that "None of us in this building are surprised by what happened." However, coach Macdonald indicated that Lock's solid play will not factor into the decision to start Darnold, with the decision hinging solely on Darnold's health and availability.
