Positive signalRole

Benefits from Chargers TE injuries; minimal trade value.

With the Chargers losing two tight ends to injured reserve, the team will run fewer two tight end sets and more three wide receiver sets, which is good for Johnston's opportunity. However, Johnston has minimal trade value and cannot be moved effectively in trades; Sters indicates he should be held rather than traded away. Johnston is available as a backup wide receiver option on the bench but not a preferred starter.
