his presence alone forces defenses to adapt how they plan to defend the Raiders offense. Instead of being able to load the box or attack the ground game by corralling running back Ashton Jeanty, linebackers and defensive backs get that tingly feeling in their neck when they see Bowers in the lineup.

Bowers' return enables Kubiak's 12-personnel packages and forces defensive adjustments across the field.

Bowers' presence alone forces defenses to adapt their game plan. His ability to run an entire route tree and get open on short, intermediate, and deep routes creates vertical and horizontal threats. When Bowers is in the lineup, linebackers and defensive backs must account for his versatility rather than loading the box or focusing on stopping running back Ashton Jeanty. Kubiak will deploy an even more sinister 12 personnel package (two tight ends) when Bowers returns.
