Valdes-Scantling's two red-zone targets both resulted in interceptions.

Valdes-Scantling was targeted twice on crucial third-down plays in the red zone by Justin Herbert, but both passes were intercepted—once by Genesis Smith in the first quarter and again by C.J. Gardner-Johnson early in the fourth quarter when the Chargers had a prime scoring opportunity at the Buffalo 34-yard line.
