Herbert's poor execution wasted five Bills turnovers in 24-16 loss.

Herbert's performance in the Chargers' 24-16 loss to Buffalo was subpar; he failed to capitalize on five takeaways forced by the defense, managing only 10 points in the first half despite four of those turnovers. Herbert acknowledged the shortcoming, stating 'It starts with me. I've got to play better and allow our offense to score more points,' indicating he recognizes his role in the offensive struggles. The source notes he tried to thread a ball to Marquez Valdes-Scantling at the goal line in the fourth quarter but was intercepted by C.J. Gardner-Johnson, a critical mistake that set up Buffalo's go-ahead touchdown drive.
