Hunter's first NFL interception came despite limited offensive role expansion in Week 3.

Despite Jaguars head coach Liam Coen's Week 3 talk about expanding Hunter's role, the 2025 first-round pick did not see a major change in offensive snaps; he played five offensive snaps at wide receiver with no catches. However, Hunter recorded his first NFL interception while playing cornerback late in the first half, snagging a pass from Patriots QB Drake Maye intended for WR Efton Chism in the end zone during the Jaguars' 35-6 win. Hunter also recorded four tackles.
