Baker Mayfield suffered a dislocated right thumb on his throwing hand late in Week 3 against Minnesota after being hit while attempting a fourth-and-13 pass. Initial X-rays showed no break, but coach Todd Bowles indicated an MRI would be conducted to determine the full extent of internal damage. Mayfield completed 17 of 34 passes for 217 yards, one touchdown and one interception before leaving the game; backup undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels replaced him and threw an interception on a Hail Mary to end the Buccaneers' 23-16 loss.
