On Baker Mayfield's final pass — an interception after he scrambled on fourth down in the final two minutes — he stayed down on the field injured. Mayfield was holding his right hand in obvious pain after it was hit on the follow through of his pass. Bowles said Mayfield had a dislocated thumb and will get an MRI on Monday.

Mayfield suffered a dislocated thumb on his right hand during the final pass of Tampa Bay's 23-16 loss to Minnesota on Sunday; he was hit on the follow-through of his pass, stayed down in obvious pain, and went straight to the locker room. Head coach Todd Bowles confirmed the dislocated thumb and Mayfield was scheduled for an MRI on Monday. If Mayfield misses time, it significantly complicates the Buccaneers' ability to escape their 0-3 start and 2-10 record over their past 12 games.
