Mayfield suffered a right thumb injury late in the Buccaneers' 23-16 loss to the Vikings after slamming his thumb into Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman while being hit after throwing an interception that sealed the game. He left the game immediately and went directly to the locker room; his post-play screams of pain were audible on the Fox broadcast.
