Ekeler signs with Commanders as third-down back after Achilles recovery.

Ekeler is signing with the Commanders pending physical after recovering from a torn Achilles tendon suffered in Week 2. He worked out for the Panthers last week before landing back with Washington. In 2024, he produced 733 yards of total offense and four touchdowns as a do-everything back. The signing comes as coverage for an injured running back room and positions him to step in as a third-down back.
