Neal signed by Vikings to compete for carries in injury-depleted backfield.

The Vikings signed the 23-year-old former Saints RB to address backfield depth. Neal, a 5th-round pick in 2025, appeared in 10 games as a rookie with 57 rushing attempts for 206 yards and 2 TDs plus 17 receptions on 19 targets for 104 yards. He was waived off New Orleans' injured reserve in early September after an injury settlement. With Jordan Mason on IR, Aaron Jones Sr. banged up and averaging just 3.9 yards per carry, and Demond Claiborne still developing as a rookie, Neal will battle DeeJay Dallas for reps in a thin Vikings backfield.
