Jones seeks receiver opportunities with Giants after limited role with Bengals behind Chase and Higgins.

Jones joined the Giants' 53-man roster after being cut by Cincinnati, seeking opportunities as a receiver beyond his returner role. With limited receiving production in Cincinnati (8 catches over three seasons, only 1 in past two years) due to depth behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, Jones chose to stay with New York rather than reunite with the Bengals. He stated: 'I'm trying to prove what I can do [as] more than just a returner' and 'I've been waiting since I got in the league to really show what I can do as a receiver.' At 27, Jones is a quality return man (9.2 yards per punt return on 50 attempts; 27.3 yards per kickoff return on 45 attempts) and is expected to pair with Braxton Berrios on kickoff returns against Arizona.
