In 2024, it was Ray Davis with 113 carries with 19 targets. Ty Johnson easily the number three running back, 41 carries and 25 targets. That split changed last season though in a pretty meaningful way... Davis had 58 carries compared to 50 for Ty Johnson. Davis had 13 targets compared to 33 for Ty Johnson... Ty Johnson had six carries inside the five-yard line and Ray Davis just had two... the Bills don't necessarily view Ty Johnson as the scat back only player.

Ty Johnson's role with the Bills shifted in 2024, increasing from 41 carries and 25 targets in 2023 to 50 carries and 33 targets in 2024, suggesting he may not be purely a scat back and could split work more evenly with Ray Davis if James Cook misses time.
