Simpson's limited usage and shaky preseason play raise concerns

Mina Kimes expresses concern over Ty Simpson's usage, noting that the 13th overall pick is not being treated as a serious contender for the backup job. Simpson's preseason performance featured a pared-down offense with a 4.4-yard average depth of completion, and Kimes observed jumbled footwork and missed throws, suggesting he is not yet ready to be the primary backup.
