Winston's inconsistent play and turnovers raise questions about his long-term role.

Winston delivered a roller-coaster performance with more lows than highs; he struggled mightily through most of the game, held onto the ball, threw recklessly, was late, missed, and looked uncomfortable in the pocket. He was flat-out bad for much of the first half, finishing 18 of 29 for 250 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions while being sacked four times. The source notes the Giants may see J.J. McCarthy sooner rather than later if Winston does not improve.
