That would not be the last time Purdy used his legs. On third-and-goal, Purdy looked like he might run for a touchdown. After he realized he'd come up short, he spotted Deebo in his peripheral vision. Samuel was wide open, and the touchdown was the first of the game, giving the 49ers a 10-3 lead.

Purdy's fourth-quarter scrambles and clutch conversions seal 4-0 start.

Purdy led the 49ers to a 4-0 start with multiple clutch plays in the fourth quarter, including a scramble for a first down on third-and-goal, a TD pass to Deebo Samuel on third-and-goal, and a quarterback sneak for a first down late in the game to help drain the clock. He also found Kyle Juszczyk for a 16-yard gain and Mike Evans for multiple completions, demonstrating mobility and decision-making in high-leverage situations.
